Community investment has always been part of how we do business at Morning Star Exchange.
Each year, we dedicate professional consulting capacity to pro bono projects that help strengthen Manitoba non-profits, charities, community organizations and the people they serve.
Our Community Investment
In 2025 alone, Morning Star provided $174,750 in pro bono and in-kind professional services across Manitoba, supporting work in governance, regulation, education, human resources, finance, organizational development and capacity building.
Our 2026 work is still underway, and we haven't calculated this year's final contribution yet.
Stay tuned as we wrap up 2026 and share the latest total in Morning Star's ever-growing community investment.
Our 2027 Priorities
For 2027, we are particularly interested in projects that advance rights, dignity, inclusion and
wellbeing, including work supporting:
- People with disabilities and diverse abilities
- Children, youth and families
- 2SLGBTQIA+ communities
- Indigenous-led and Indigenous-serving organizations
- People experiencing poverty, housing instability or other barriers
- Human rights, accessibility and community inclusion
- Leadership support & coaching
These priorities don't exclude other important work. We welcome applications where our expertise can
create meaningful and lasting community impact.
How We Can Help
Pro bono support may include governance, policy development, strategic planning, financial systems, human resources, regulatory readiness, risk management, grant support,
leadership support, training, facilitation and organizational transition.
Apply for 2027
Applications open October 1, 2026 and will be accepted throughout until November 12th, 2026.
Applications will be reviewed based on community impact, organizational need, project feasibility, alignment with our priorities and where Morning Star's expertise can provide the greatest value.
All applicants will be contacted early December.
